New hope for the Mag in the CFOA!!!!!

I took my mag up to Rock Hill as a back up, and intending to use it in at least one prelim. I took it to Larry Motes sat. to ask about its legality.
Conversation went something like this....I asked him if I could use my "RT" mag. He admired it, pointed out all the nice parts, commenting that he happens to own (I think 7) mags himself including an X, E, RT...anyway. He asks me if its controllable. I tell him that I have an adjustable and can dial the RT up and down for reactivity. I point out that it didn't "ramp PSP" that it pretty much went straight into top speed. He points out that I am aware that all these other markers ramp....I was like yes....
He asks if I could set it up not to shoot over 15BPS, which I could. He said so long as it was controllable, which it is, had no velocity or BPS spikes that it was allowed. He told me that if any ref had a problem with it to tell them to talk to him and "to look for the batteries".

Unfortunatly my adjustable's reg lost the reg seat and leaked like a mad dog right before our first match. I had it set up shooting 280FPS and a fairly consistant 13-14 BPS at around 900-1000PSI. Assuming I go back next month the Mag will be set and ready to use. I am stoked.

I am actually VERY much hoping that someone will catch a good pic of me using it. I am even going to work more with my left hand so the "X" will show.

Shouldn't I make royalties from AGD if I start something?

                Yikes...

So, you're using a mech mag in a CFOA tourney? Cool. I hope they catch on at PBC... I'm the only one there who's ever heard of an automag.

Nice to hear someone else tried to use a mech. During one game this weekend in chinagrove my friends marker went down and he was going to use my blazer but we did not have enough time to get it chronoed since we only had one game to wait through. He ended up using a shocker instead of my blazer.

I used my mech mag, which is now my backup to my emag, at a tournament last weekend in Springfield, MO. Of course, it was the only mag on the field, but I was surprised of the number of people who actually knew it was a mag and not a shocker.

sick. Yeah, I knew larry is a mag fanboy, but have seen VERY few used in my time in the cfoa team since that AO team split. (cant remember who it was, some mod, his son, and other memebers, I remember meeting them, cant remember their forum handles)
