    Guns of Navarone?

I'm posting here as not to hijack several other threads ....

I'm looking for a scan of a really old (1989?)APG ad for Line SI Bushmasters that was supposedly all of the guns from Navarone.

Have any of the old sports here seen this add and or know where I can get a scan of it?

If not please let this thread die it's quick death and forget I showed my age

Ahhhh Navarone. I remember the glorious day I found my boss's old Navarone jersey in the back of the store.

Man, I wish I was old enough to have seen them play.

I just happen to have a 1989 march issue APG mag in front of me.

i'll flip through and see if i can find waht you're talking about. (i dont have a scanner though? )

Edit: i found a 2page spread of 'the bushmaster Si series' shows different options/components, but doesnt show any players..

One! That sounds like the exact add I am looking for, it shows a bunch of Bushmasters in various configurations, no players just their guns and if my memory is correct it's on a dark background too?

            Wow

That was a remarkably quick response!

I miss my old (mid-90s for me) pball mags.

God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.

Very cool guys, when I first got into the sport Barry and Manny (was it?) were some of the first guys I talked to. I used to play at their home field all the time at Borderland. That place had some real sweet woodsball fields. Barry sold me my first spyder package which came out to about 345$ I think hahahahahaha. Too bad borderland never got their act together again after their field in otay ranch closed down. Last time I talked to them they were trying to open up a field in Miramar (about 6 years ago) but that deal fell through.

i remember waaaay back to the big game between sudden death, who shot c/a guns(mostly pmi) and navarone, who shot 12 gram bushmasters. i beleive each team got one win, and the third game broke down in a big argument about something. don't remember what. but did you know, t.v.s own ricky schroeder and his dad were members of sudden death? man, am i old. and does anyone remember naverones andy greenwells paintball gun : the blade"? i still have one in my basement in the box it came in.

i wonder if any of those bushmasters are sitting in someones closet/ basement/attic right now? i played my first game in march of 1983 and i remember looking at that picture and thinking "these guys are the business". me with my plastic uzi, lol. but i soon moved onto a carter comp gun and all was right with the world(at least until the tippman 68special and pmi3 started showing up). but when i finaly got into a semi, it was automag #389.

I beleive Paul, the owner of P.W. Paintball has one of those actual guns. He hangs around the M Carter Brown forums (PWPaintball). I'm going by there today and I'll ask him for sure.

Those were awesome fields I used to love giving Ron the old head ref greif The only bad part of their fields was the spring time when the mosquitoes would eat you alive and the stinging nettle down by the river got really bad. I loved how they would start the safety speech with "No, you can't shoot at the planes".

Too bad Velocity has ruined the old San Diego Paintball field in Ramona
