What do you do to prep your markers(specifically electros) to play in the rain? I've heard of people doing some creative stuff.

I wrap a small plastic bag on my revvy and break out the palmers unported brass barrel and go to town with my automag.

yeah cover all gun ports/swap speed feed on the hopper.
i also put duct tape or something on top of the airholes on my goggles. the rain hitting them and splashing in your eyes in a downpoor can be irritating.

Duct tape and plasic bag your hopper. Then just ghetto something onto your gripframe. That or one one my friends just put a shirt on his gun when there was only a light sprinkle of rain. And, like was said above, you may want to tape you're barrel so rain doesn't get in the porting.

i used to have a neoprene cover that I made when i had an electro spyder ...
now I don't worry about those things ...
I empty my electronics out of my hopper revy so I don't have to worry about it ... you can always seal the seams with silicone ... and put a good coverage of tape over the battery door

unported barrel on my cocker or mag and a VL200 with the seams sealed in silicone, bit of paper and ductape over the hole in the powerfeed on the mag (paper is there to prevent the balls from sticking to the tape...)
then laugh at all the kids with Ions and rails and egos who have their marker wraped in plastic... they paid for expensive (and useless) milling only to have to wrap it all in plastic bags.

I just play and don't worry about it. Knock on wood I have been lucky. I have yet to have it effect any of my gear.

i use a classic mag with rain flap (home made out of duck tape, also works for dirt), a VL200, and some sort of SS barrel with tape over the porting
20 year old technology is still the best.

I dont think its strange at all, However I do think its strange that the myth of electros ceasing to work in the rain is still a widely held belief. I dont do a thing to my electros either, and Hawaii has some real heavy tropical downpours. I've never had any issues with electronic guns in the rain--ever.Originally posted by skifeis it strange that i just do nothing?"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." --Benjamin Franklin
