    Nice shocker

So I went and played today at a field here in Co. and while in line to fill my tank a guy says, "nice shocker". I inform him my Dallara bodied, Logic vert framed X-valved marker was indeed an Automag. He said, "what's that".

Due to the objections of a certain Canadian, this space is now for rent.

Get used to it. When I was playing with my Xvalved, Hyperframed, Rogue Exile and Shadow railed RT, I'd get the same comment. I'd hand it over after I got that comment, and all I'd hear was..."Ooooohh, it's smaller and lighter!" My next project will be a morlocked, karta bodied monster. I can't wait for the shocker comments.

              Yeah,
I had an x-valved IT body mag with a logic rail & a ton of goodies at the field right when the ion first came out. A guy walked over who didn't know me, picked up my mag off the table to show his friends the "brand new ion". First, he didn't know me or ask me to touch it, so he was about to get a beatdown. Second, I tried to politely tell him it wasn't an ion it was an automag, and he proceeded to tell me I was mistaken. I pointed to the "AGD" engraved into the intelliframe and asked him what that stood for. I picked up the blue ion on the other side of the table and said "This is an ion, you are an idiot, and you are about to learn the hard way what happens when you pick up a marker that isn't yours without permission". The sad thing is that the blue ion belonged to one of the guys in my group, and this kid didn't know him either. He just thought it was okay to go picking up other people's markers, at a field notorious for stuff being stolen from.

He made a fool of himself, telling me I didn't know what my own marker was. But it was better because later that day I got accused of ramping with my mech mag, and it was tuned to NOT be reactive. It did have the ULT and it was tuned properly so it was one pull one shot. The ref came to check my marker and burst out laughing when he saw what I had. He took my marker in the staging area and had to explain to the kids that there weren't any batteries in my marker.. that it was purely mechanical. Needless to say, I created a few mag fans that day. Two of the guys actually picked up mags after that, and I helped them get them tuned when I saw them at the field next.

I walked out with my E-Tac the other day.. against angels, shockers, ego's etc..

                  NOBODY knew what it was.

My favorite was also when I walked in they all looked at it and they said, oh thats a rookie marker etc.. etc..

they didnt walk out sayin that :)

                      If you think your shocker questions are bad ;

My pnuemag frame is a shocker frame. The valve is covered by two ASP stickers that make it look like a solid colour. I have a gutted shocker reg on the vert asa.

I got shot in the marker and didn't want to dick with anything so I just ran some water over it and gave it a shake.....The people beside me basically did

I was borrowing a friends blazer to use at a local 3 man type deal. I got asked all day if it ramped.

                        Ended up winning that tournament.

I tend to do the opposite.

I like to say "nice mag" to people with shockers...but only the ones that act as if they walk on water.

They look at me like I am an idiot. Some look a bit confused ... I have a strange sense of humor.

                          Makes me giggle.

My favorite are the people who ask how I can run my marker unregulated. Integrated regs rock.
