    X-mag bodies

I did a little searching but couldn't quite find what i was looking for, so maybe you guys can
    help.

There are e-mag lowers and x-mag lowers, but what I want to know is if someone is selling x-mag lowers what happend to the body and why separate the 2 from each other since no other mag has eyes, and xmags are kinda rare.
Or did some emags get made with x-mag lowers with out the ace in them, and they got parted from there?

I'm always seeing xmag lowers for sale in the b/s/t forum but cant say I have ever seen a xmag body for sale.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but the ACE sits up in the body, not the lowers. So there is no difference between the two.

I see, so the xmag body with ACE will work on any set of lowers?
I kinda thought an xmag body would be useless (no ace) with out the xmag lowers.

the xmag lowers are indeed different from emag lowers. they had a hole on one side that allowed the adjustment of the ace.

that part I got, but what I am trying to figure out is if people are selling these xmag lowers
that means they took the body off, correct. And the more xmag lowers that get sold there should be surplus xmag bodies, because you cant have a working xmag body (ace) with out the corresponding lowers to operate them. Is that somewhat correct?

So they are pretty much being horded like the kartas? I've seen lots of xmag lowers for sale
but not the body like you said. Thats pretty much what I am trying to find out. Just trying to justify why people would sell the lowers, then have a body they cant do anything with.

There is another difference between the E and X-Mag lowers that I just recently learned about.

E-Mag lowers have a hump near the base of the frame. X-Mag lowers lack that hump.

X-Mag lowers are also milled to be UL. But other than that they're nearly identical.

I wouldnt say cant do anything with it. In fact the body is what really makes up an Xmag besides the ACE. Im not sure but have you seen A-Tac-Ones DMX? Its my favorite Xmag, and if you can see it just an xmag body with a Devils Den frame. So not being able to do nothing with an xmag body isnt so true.

yeah but where are all these "extra" xmag bodies

lots of xmag lowers were sold here on AO and not near enough bodies to make up the difference.

Well that is a search you must preform on your own. They only come to those that are worthy of such a piece. You must find your inner spirit that will guide you.

Naw who knows maybe paper weights or something. Just keep looking and you should find one.

Some of the x-mags also have the hump - I htink it has more to do with the age of it than x vs e. Here is my C&C from Europe X-mag:
