    More FPS on a Phantom

I haven't been able to get over 250 fps on my Phantom, either with 12 grams or a 3.5 oz tank. Anyone have any suggestions on how to acheive higher fps?

I would highly recommend going to www.stockclasspaintball.com and joining their forum. Their guys are VERY knowledgable about Phantoms and they'll probably be able to fix you up in a jiffy.

I just joined this particular forum myself, but I joined it specifically because I have an Automag. Since this is an Automag forum, I'm not sure you'll get much help with a Phantom question, but maybe I'm wrong about that....

Seems to me it's kinda like joining a HarleyDavidson forum and asking questions about a Kawasaki.

Except that the beautiful Phantom is made in the USA, and you can call the owner (Mike) and talk to him if you want. Your Phantom is your Harley, your mag is like a corvette maybe.

Anyway, c'mon over to the Phog for all your phantom needs, and to get that question answered in about 3 minutes.

You could also try M Carter Brown too lol...

Forum and Site dedicated to old and rare paintball guns, the players, and those that just love the game

You probably only need a heavier hammer spring, or a lighter valve spring, or a combination of both. It's your basic Nelson based pump gun.

you need a new or heavier mainspring. You have tried adjusting the internal bolt nut, right?

                  possibly a cupseal issue?

there are several things that could be causing this. how old is the gun?

Are you familiar with phantoms? In case you are, Im just referring to adjusting the velocity. If your not familiar with them, I was trying to word it more effectively. There is a bolt/screw like core in the bolt. Turn clockwise to increase velocity.

                        Sorry if i confused you.

Did you get a long "screwdriver" when you got the gun? That's the velocity adjustment tool.

You have to put a high pressure spring in the valve if memory serves me correctly. Haven't messed with a phantom in a while but I remember that.

                              Oh, how stoopid of me.
Yeha, I know how to adjust the velocity. I've turned it to the point where it was almost leaking CO2, and I still couldn't get over 250 fps.
