To warp or not to warp, that is the question

Another one of those guys getting back into paintball after a several year (6) absence. Upgraded my Retro Valve with a Level 10 kit, which worked flawlessly this past weekend. Unfortunately, my barrel, a 10" dye boomstick has an inner diameter of .686 and it was just to tight for any of the paint I was shooting this past weekend (partly due to rain early on and high humidity). Also, the Level 10 bolt sometime sticks in this barrel do to how tight it is.

So, I'm looking at getting a ULE main body, and am trying to decide if I go all out and get the warp ULE and a warp feed to go with it. If I decide to go with the vert feed ULE, how hard would it be to get the warp hooked up to that in the future.

I like the idea of the super low profile with the warp ULE, but say the warp breaks, with the center feed, I could just go back to a regular hopper. That kind of leads to a final qustion, if the warp did break, could you attach a hopper directly (with some sort of feed tube) to the warp ULE.

    Thanks in advance

do it ... i have to say that the hardest thing I have done since i started playing ... was playing aginst the guys at TX AO meet that had warps ... i don't think i will ever get used to it ...

we've been trained to look for hoppers and a mask looking around that hopper ... with a warp ... all you see is a little bit of the mask and mabey a barrel if you have enough time to look hard...

i personally think the the decreased profile far out weighs the slight increase in weight ...

Sorry, go Q IMO. Its the only hopper that lets you choose where you want it. Though I love Mags, personally I cant stand warps. (although Im probably the minority around here)

I have lost count of how many balls went wizing by right where a hopper would normally be on my gun. I have never had a time when the warp couldn't keep up. The only thing to really consider is:
Warp ULE bodies are useless if your warp goes down, and on the other hand a warp fed into a vertical bodie looks silly/ugly.

Thanks for the input everyone. I've decided to take the plunge and go with the Warp ULE and Warp feed.

I'll be sure to stock up on 9V's, and probably look into getting some high quality rechargables to save on cost in the long run.

I've had a particular mag with a warp on it for a couple of years now, but never used it. (I have over 100 markers) I finally got around this past weekend to give it a shot.
It's a classic valved minimag, and I had a blast. Once you get used to it, you don't notice the extra weight on the left side.
I did like the fact that once I found a tree big enough to shelter my big @$$ body, the only thing my apponents saw was my barrel, my hand and about 3" of mask.
                SWEET!!

BTW, you can always put a 90 on the warp body and use a hopper. But in the many years of using a warp I've never done it.

do you play woods & scenario's or air bunkers , do you throw a lot of paint ? Warp's are good but a tad heavy & bulky . Have you looked at q- loaders . Ive got a couple Q set-ups & once you get it set up right they work great BUT they are paint picky . I even had 1 set up on a vert ule body
