    Z body

Anyone know where i can get the back spin piece for a Z body?? as you can see the one i picked up didnt have one. or shoud i just forget about the backspin part and have it closed. Also the level 10 bolt will not fit into this body, should i shave the bolt down to fit or just bore out the inside of the body a bit?? I was also thinking of geting it powder coated bule. What do you guys think??

More of a collectors peice than a functional item really. The backspin peice was basically a screw with a delrin nub on it. You'd have to get one custom made. As for your bolt, DON'T TOUCH THE BOLT. Bore out the body if you must, but don't do anything to the bolt. Powdercoating will be fine as long as the p/cer knows how to work with mag tolerances. Talk to Luke on here or Ken at www.kpcustoms.net

I used to have one, don't know where it has gone now.

Apart from the lvl10 bolt not fitting (came out before lvl10 anyway), it was actually a pretty good body:

            - aluminium with stainless insert
            - backspin pad - which i never used, only worked well with large bore barrels
            - cocker barrel threads
            - removable powerfeed
            - looked good. Weighed about the same, just looked better than the tubes

I would forget about the backspin pad, you would need to use a large bore barrel for it to work, which mean sacrificing accuracy. In tournaments it's useless, but woods/scenario it's fun to play with.

Also go with a lvl7 bolt. I wouldn't mess with either lvl10 bolt or body. The body had a metal insert/ring where the bolt sits, I think it was stainless last I remember. That's the part that would need to be bored out and I'm pretty sure it's bonded to the aluminium with loc-tite or similar. If you screw it up, your gonna have a hell of a time getting it out.
