Unless you are a police officer or in the military, I dont think you can get a new one. But you can sometimes find them on EBAY... they usually go for about $400-$500. As far as its performance... I couldnt tell you. Ive never shot one.

      First hand Experience

As a SydArm Owner - I think it rocks. But I have limited use of my sydarm. I purchased it last year used - it had bolt sticking problems and it took me forever to get it to AGD to fix it. I recently received it back and toyed with it in the back yard. The performance is nice - It's an automag afterall. The thing to remember with this marker is that it's a handgun and you don't get much range from the barrel. My Barrel length is 6.5" so if you play indoor this would be cool. But outdoors this would be good for maybe a scenario game or if your into creeping up on your victims. The other thing you need to know is - you can't fire this gun to fast or it'll lock from the liquid CO2 coming in to fast from the 12-gram. You can maybe pop out 4-5 shots fast but it's better to pop them out 1 every other second or so if you need to that fast. The SydArm only holds 8 balls in the spring fed loader. So you have to think how your gonna use them if you plan on going out with this as your main marker. Sorta like stock play without having to pump your gun all the time. Accuracy in your shooting abilities is very helpful. Practice this as often as you can so you can make all your shots count.
As for price - I got mine on eBay for an amazing $250 but that was like totally rare - the guy just wanted to sell it with BUY NOW and had that as his buy now price. It could have easily been sold for $500 even with the bolt stick. AGD repaired it for free for me- I only paid to ship it to them.
I hope this helps you out. Let your quest begin as it took me a long time to find one. But I'm glad I got it - I love it.
