Just so you know, people are saying that the paint is fragile. They are powdercoated I believe, not anod. Here is a link to the other thread.

Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.

From the pictures on the website. They don't look powdercoated. Looks to be just painted, an acrylic of some kind.

It does appear to be paint on the ones I have.

The ones from macrlineguy are not powdercoated at all, its def some sort of paint. Regular macro fittings cannot be anodized as most of them are steel. There are aluminum ones out there but they arent easy to come by and arent cheap either. Not to mention the cost to have some anodized.

The Norgren fittings that most companies use (rightfully so) are nickel-plated brass. No ano there.
Some other companies sell steel ones but again no ano there either.
There are companies that made aluminum ones, that could theoretically be anodized, but as far as I've seen they're smaller companies so the cost is pretty high for em. They're anodized in the first place, silver or clear-coat naturally...

Gruntbull has a service for blackening stainless and nickel plated stuff like macroline fittings.

A black oxide process I think. Not sure. But if your deadset keen on a proper black durable finish for your fittings, then I'd get in contact with Gruntbull.

Hmm, that sounds like the best option. I could do my frame bolts too

Sweet @55 setup! I think I like the black oxide idea though. Much more durable.
