nahhhhh just kiddin....you're grips are nothin short of amazing, but a guy over at the ICD forums made a set of wood grips for his promaster check it out

forgot about that ..here's the pics

They are made from Oak wood, 1mm stainless steel back and 2mm foam back, finish with brass screws (they look kinda gold). The gold feather is made from a gold color peice of flat rod( train hobby shop).

it says you have to be a member to view the site.

I think that they look pretty good. Where he kinda screwed up was on the finish coat. It makes it look a bit bumpy. That gentlemen is why I dont finish out my grips. The finish can make a decent set of grips look worse than they are. I do like the raw oak in the first one. And, I cant compete with shartley, he way outclasses me. I know where my place is
WOW, sigs. Havent seen these in a while here on AO.

Thanks for the mention guys. As long as folks are having fun and they get what they want that is what matters.

Kruger, keep cranking out those grips.

I agree with Kruger, the finish killed it. The raw oak looked better.

Looks almost like a bad paint job.

He needed to condition the wood first, then stain it. The wood was either too dry, or he over did it with the stain.

He lost the whole look of the wood covered underneath the caked-on stain.

I'm guessing that it's paint, not stain.

Looks like the grips are made of chocolate.
