If you are talking the rust brown color, it looks like the remnant of a decal. For someone who is looking for Autoresponse internals, it looks like that is an Autoresponse frame with the trigger guard cut off.

I made a deal with him and he is making me a custom trigger guard for the response frame. He is a machist and said he custom made the stock (not shown in the pic) so i asked him to make a trigger guard for it before he ships it. Cant wait to see it.
