    Xmag programming cable Ebay

    Not my auction. Thought someone might find this interesting. Its only at $3 currently but I think that might change.

    If those are rare, I could re-create them using modern boards with some minor effort.

      You can still buy the boards with USB connections, though they are usually the newer versions. Getting them to work on modern operating systems is the tricky part. And, that aside, the molex cable is the harder part because they're custom made.

      Once you've got a programmer, getting it to work with a driver, and then getting the outdated AVR Studio 4.0 software running is the trick.

      Oh, and then you'd need to have the Emag firmware to load up. That's potentially harder than getting AVR Studio up and running.
