AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Without a doubt the worst transaction I've ever been apart of. I traded my Marq Rapper for his Sonic Cyborg plus cash. His thread specifically said that the gun was in working condition and had no problems. We have a certified MacDev tech in town, and I took the gun to him for inspection as soon as I got it. The Cyborg came to me with a series of problems.
I immediately noticed that the bolt was not right. Sonic Cyborgs have a two piece bolt, and this bolt only had the front half. He claims that he never knew the bolt had two halves, and that it always worked. However, the second half of the bolt is essential for the gun to work. To his credit, he sent $40 via paypal for a replacement bolt, but that's where the praise stops.
The gun also needs a new ram, valve, and poppet springs. The gun that he claimed worked perfectly needed a $40 bolt and $82 worth of parts, plus the time and labor for having a tech work on it. I even offered to split the cost of the parts. However, my last PM from him came over a week ago. He has logged in almost every day since then, but will not return PMs. He has yet to even confirm that he received the Rapper, even though the USPS tracking number shows that it was delivered already.
To say that I'm frustrated is an understatement. I was blatantly lied to about the condition of the gun I was receiving, and have now been left to pay for parts and tech work that should not have been for me to pay. Even worse is the fact that I'm receiving no communication at all, despite the fact that I have been patient and willing to cooperate. I hope this will be a wake up call, and that I won't have to go a step further and take real action to get the situation resolved.
