    hellrazor2290 - scammer

    hello,

I am new to paintball, so i didnt know that trading a bran new, upped, PMR was a bad trade for a automag wts:

I sent the pmr, then he sent the wts. I got it, unpacked it, gave it a barrel, air and paintballs and it only shot 60 feet with the velocity all the way up...... he wont answer my pms now, but IS reading them

    what do I do?

    thanks

Reverse look-up on his address to get a phone #. A trade like that probably was a little kid. Just talk to his parents and alert them that you are going to file mail fraud if it isnt reconciled.

he is apparently at college and can't be reached at his reverse lookup number.

then have the parents give you his number or you file a claim with the postmaster btw mail fraud is a felony just pass that info onto them

Did you trade pics or talk about condition before you made the trade?

Did you keep any of the messages through mail (or otherwise) of those conversations?

Trading a PMR for a working mag would not have been a bad trade at all, if the mag was in full working condition. Now where the owner should certainly have disclosed the shape of what you pictured above and that it was not working properly, there is a certain amount of responsibility for you to ASK the proper questions. Not only that, but simply know who you are dealing with. Ask for feedback, ask for pictures, see if they are a long time member of the forum.

As much as this was a bad deal for you, and certainly shady, I do not see any case for fraud unless he outright lied to you, or decieved you. You did in fact get a mag for your PMR. Beyond that has a lot to do with what was asked above.

Sorry for your luck, and hope you are able to get things worked out.
