Kaiser Bob: Bad trader?

Well I hate to do this. I've tried email, and I've given him plenty of time, but now it comes out here.

Anyway I sold KB a ticket to shatnerball. He told me that he didn't have the money right then, but he'd get me the money by the end of September. Well September came and he said that he still didn't have the money, hard times and the like. I understand that, and can sympathize. He offered to send me a nitro tank as temporary compensation until he could get the money.
This would have been fine with me. I waited a while and when I didn't recieve anything I contacted him back. He said that he didn't even have money to ship the tank to me, so I shipped him postage for it. It's been close to two weeks and I have yet to hear from him in any form.

So KB if you're out there please contact me. When we get this all worked out i'll erase the thread.

Not defending, just my personal experience with KB was flawless - good shipping, good communication and all that stuff.. Makes me think something must be going on to keep him from getting the deal done..

It looks like his last post was 10/17/2002. So maybe he is having some money troubles. Just keep trying to get ahold of him. Definately leave the thread up until everything is resolved.

Well STILL haven't gotten anything.

He claims to have gotten shipping toghether for the tank, but I havent' heard anything from him for about 1.5 weeks now. I think he's avoiding me on AIM.

Personally I don't care anymore if he has money probs or not. He got something that he hasn't paid for yet. I understand that I shouldn't have sent him the ticket before the money, bad on me. But I thought that he'd be an honest trader. Apparently he's not.

I see KB online all the time, so I don't know what the deal is. I'm going to look into it and see what I can do.

Anyways, I just drove 3 and a half hours to get the stuff for vf-xx. Turns out, KB shipped it today. So I took the confirmation receipt from him and left.

There is NO EXCUSE for doing what Kaiser_Bob did. Since August he's been holding out.

I guess we will see what he shipped soon.

OK, well I finally got the tank.

it's later than I wanted to get things squared away, but it's a better tank than I expected so I'm content.

Draw whatever conclusions you want from this. I personally have had the pay first, ship second mentality firmly impressed upon me.
