AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
looooong time no see! The last time i remember talking to you was at the AGD booth- World cup '03. I've been pretty much out of paintball since then.
Just now looking at getting in and working on a couple projects.
I'm interested in getting a dallara body/rail from you. I (believe) i still have a slug body around here somewhere.
I'd just like to know if you are still accepting new orders on them, and to confirm the new price ---- you said "double" so I'm assuming that the price has not been edited in the post so $320?
I provide the body, you provide the rail. Of course add $10 for return shipping.
On payment, Do you take credit cards? I know these are now a spare time project for you and that you had said in the thread payment is due when the work is done, however I'm willing and able to pay up front if it will 'help'.
Colin, I sent you an email a few weeks ago...basically just letting you know I'm still alive and my slug has been in your possession awaiting your services for eight months now. Fear not, I am not disgruntled, merely perplexed and curious.
Hey everybody...
Update time! This is to explain in some detail about why these things are taking so much longer than normal. I personally hate delays, especially unexplained ones.
As some of you already know we moved in April. Same city, larger location. This inherently caused some major delays with moving machines, etc.
Also as some of you might have known, there were some electrical (CNC controller amp and pulse generator) issues with the mill. The replacement parts were coming from overseas so the wait for that was long. Luckily that down time overlapped with the move a little, so the wait was not as "long" as it could have been. I have the electronics now up and running again, but in the mean time the tester guy found some mechanical problems with the mill as well. It turned out that one of the axis was on its last leg and surprising that it was still working. More parts, more waiting.
Now for a bit of a more recent update-
On Sep 12th Hurricane Ike hit our area with 90mph winds. Don't worry it didn't blow the place over (but it sure felt like it was going to!). The worst result for me was no power for over two weeks, and when that came back on, no internet or phone access for another 2.5 weeks.. and even today the communications lines are still up and down randomly as they keep working to clean up the area from trees and debris which are still tangled up in the lines. Even now I am sitting at a local coffee shop on a laptop to use the internet. :-/
I have been working on the mill for about an hour almost every day for the last 2 weeks to get everything working (this is only one of my "jobs" in paintball) and I am happy to say that I think it should be rolling along pretty soon now.
