Not a good thing,....Originally posted by Tracy_ptp...offer a proprietary ASA and probably a gadget grip.
If there is a need for a part like this,.. why offer a rare body that has rare parts?
Its like the ASAs that work with the current line of PTP bodies. The body COMPLETELY looses half the benefits of production and defeats alot of purpose if it can only work with a specific ASA.
If it goes this route,... Im going to have to bow out.

having a slave asa isnt the greatest idea i agree ... if we cant use the rtpro style vert asa it limits the usefullness of the body which sucks maybe make a slave 90 asa and a 15 degree one also ? pleases most people i think ? ill wait till i see pics before damning anything i love the regular ptp micros so im game to wait .....Comment

I only post the way i did because I grabbed my Micro Mag body and came to 2 conclusions.
If based on the ASA CONCEPT of the original body we have,.... PTP could:
A) Extrude the "rail" section under the barrel threading forward more to allow for the screw holes to be milled in for an ASA mount.
or
B) Cut the top section of the body where the barrel threading it as a "cosmetic milling" option and drop the screws into the "rail" that way.
If you dont get what Im saying,... get a micro mag body and look at it with a RT length rail next to it from the top. You can see the options plain as day,...
The last,.. which I dont agree with,.. but thought about as a "simple enough I could do it" option...... was to make the ASA mount the way a cocker ASA does with a single screw from the bottom. O-rings would be invloved,... but its not like we dont already have some of those in the gun anyway

I'll try to cover the last posts about the vert ASA. The ASA will be nothing like the current Micromag. It will actually look virtually identical to the R/T Pro (with a little PTP styling). It will in fact bolt in from the bottom like Autocockers, Angels, Shockers, etc. We actually had a lot of input asking for that option. I know that the idea was to be able to buy aftermarket parts to fit, but the design just won't allow for it. We are doing some things that are a bit over the top and sometimes have to give and take... The vertical is going to be an add-on so that anyone that doesn't want to run a vert setup doesn't have to. Of course we can always double the size of the body and have room to do whatever we want...Originally posted by p8ntbal4meI only post the way i did because I grabbed my Micro Mag body and came to 2 conclusions.

No,... I dont think making the body BIGGER would be a welcome ideaOriginally posted by Tracy_ptpOf course we can always double the size of the body and have room to do whatever we want...
To PTP/Tracy:
Im only posting my opinion because of the trouble I have had trying to find/purchase the
PTP vertical adapters in the past. There is NO substitute we can use,... so it makes it tough sometimes.
That,.. and I dislike other types of things (suh as computers) that have proprietary parts to begin with.

We understand. We have tried to make this as universal as possible especially with the ASA, but it just couldn't be done. Once the pics are posted you will understand.Originally posted by p8ntbal4meIm only posting my opinion because of the trouble I have had trying to find/purchase the PTP vertical adapters in the past.
