Thanks to all the people that preordered and were patient to make this happen. This will be a regular stocked item now and the going price is $35 shipped. I will be using one tomorrow on my minimag to test it out. Standard wire detents should work in these but I'm not sure if the plastic ones will. Again, testing is tomorrow so I will post up all information gathered tomorrow night. I bought enough material to make 60 total. I believe 22-23 have been spoken and paid for. I will when I take better pics, Shives. These are currently for LF and RF bodies only. I could drill one for a centerfeed but you would have to test it to see if it would work.

Twistlock Adapter self review

Well, I am posting this to potential buyers so they know what they are purchasing. I have never done a review before so I will try to be as informative as possible. All of the preorders should ship this week. I will keep everyone up to date.

The adapter is a success. Shot the adapter with an AIM barrel and SP teardrop barrel. Each performed up to there standard and shot fine. No breaks with winter paint, CO2, and 37 degrees. Shot as straight as could be expected. Plastic detents work as well as wire ones. The detent will have to be cut down for this adapter. The detent line was shortened in order to make the adapter shorter. Not sure what else to write. Hopefully people can add to this after they receive their adapters. Post questions, concerns, or comments here and I will answer them as best as I can. Thanks!!!

I guess I won't be doing my comparison (Docs vs noxx) this weekend. That's alright, I'm kind of in the mood to shoot the VM. I just got some barrels bored for inserts, I'll play around w/ those instead.

OK, I have a few minutes finally.
Thank you noxx, I think they look great.
1. They are longer than Doc's, but much lighter.
2. Doc's adapter is stainless instead of alluminum.
3. I haven't compared the bores. W/ nubbins, I don't worry about roll out, but the length of noxx's, if they are on the big side, could cut into air efficiency.
4. I had to fight w/ a number of my barrels to get them threaded into Doc's adapter. I didn't have any trouble w/ noxx's. Perhaps working them into Doc's adapter chased the threads a bit so they fit better now.
5. I haven't tried replacing the wire nubbin w/ a plastic one, but certainly will before I play. I have a good history w/ AGD's detents. I'm not sure what I think of the Spyder ones Doc uses.
6. Doc's adapter is a bit more "permanant", or at least more of a hassle to remove. I was afraid the barrel would just unscrew from noxx's adapter when I tried to remove the assembly (barrel & adapter), but it wasn't a problem.
7. I did have the adapter twist too far and the twist-lock assembly came out of the track. I can probably just adjust the twist-lock assembly and keep that from happeneing, but it wasn't a real problem.

Until I shoot through them both, I think that is it.
