Ok fellow maggots at this time I will be stopping the updates on the interest list, as there is obviously enough interest!

Therefore in the near future (this weekend?) I will be setting up the order in a new thread.

    Thanks!

*project updates will still be posted here

      update

just updating so you guys know where the project stands.

all componet parts for the ACE's are in and ready to go.

but currently, the board making is at a stand still till i can get some new equipment in to make them up. and honestly, i do not have any idea when that will happen. could be a week to 3 months.

But anybody wanting a wire harness setup can pick them up now since they are not waiting on boards.

      Thanks,
      -Chris

        Update!

okay, so with GREAT help from mostpeople things are back on track and almost done.

so my question now is........ "Who wants ALBINO ACE boards?" lol

here are some pictures of my first DIRTY TRIAL RUN. meaning these are from my first practice run breaking in new equipment and getting production processes down. so dont worry, the ACE's that will be sold will be top notch looking.....aka, professonal.

and before anyone ask, the black "smugging" is from a chemical that is used in the production. they have not yet been finished cleaned!

Are you using the reverse image "laser printer" with "iron transfer" process? For small runs it works fairly well.

actually, printing directly to the board when making them. but yes, for the testing and so forth i am doing the process in which you talk about. glad to see someone knows a bit about the process.

Have you ever played with this software... http://www.cadsoft.de/ for board layout? works fairly well and has a large library of parts.

For the hobby stuff I have done it works quite well.

                        by passed the ace

ok chaps i have bypassed the ace board and my xmag is now up and running.

i dissconected the loom but croped the orange and the yellow wire close to the ace board.
also i noted that the yellow wire is soldered on to the pc board,

puled the orange wire with tag from the board socket.
and just roled up the yellow wire and stored that in side the grip frame next to the board.

im ready to send my old board to you now.

tryed to pay pal you payment but your email dont work.
                        let me know mate

                          payment

                          hi there .
                          payment made and sent .
will get board in post tomorrow.

next question is about break beam eyes.
and how i would wire them in to the pc board.

as i see the ace board has two wires yellow and orange .< not inculding the red power wire>
but most eyes sets i have seen < ion ect > have four wires or 2 per eye.

Is the ace board acting as a relay for the pc board.acting as a simple on off.

or or the yellow and orange wire commom wires that change role.

God wish i had paid more attenion in school in the electronics class,
< still that was a very long time ago >

If you are refering to the break beam system i have for E/X/SFL/Euro-mags. they are attached to the main board via a plug and play cable. no soldering needed!

yup, one is for power and the other is for the signal of the ACE board. and as for why most eye system these days have 4 wires instead of three....they double up on grounding. not done with the ACE.

the ACE board has two functions. 1) the power on/off switch. 2) the ACE eye system itself. the yellow and orange wires are for the ACE eye system...nothing to do with the power and on/off switch of the main system.

The 'interest list' is closed, there is enough interest.

The order list will be posted and orders/money will be taken when the prototype is up and working!
