Like Chris said,... and Im sure your asking for your own reasons,... if your not wanting to do the install yourself I would have someone do it for you.

Its simple,.. but some people would rather have someone else that KNOWS how to do it, do it. And thats fine!

In the event that the solenoid cores are not sold with the boards,... one soldering joint would have to be done. Someone that knows how to deal with the polarity would have to do the install because doing it wrong could destroy the board. Thats an UPSIDE to selling these with solenoids,.... the polarity comes tested and set for you. DOWN SIDE would be additional cost.

In response to Chris's idea i would like to have my name inscribed on my board not only for security buyt also a means of making it more unique but i coud see how this would be an issue should the owner later decide he wants to see his marker/board. For some people they may not want to buy something with someone else's name on it. Making it an option i think would be great but as another idea perhaps create serial numbers on the boards.

looks good guys. A great option for when your board goes down.

            My one suggestion/question.

Has anyone thought of looking into another solenoid for the emag. maybe one that uses less battery so we can rid oureslves of teh 3lb pack on the fornt of the marker? maybe even an ep version?

Please dont take this as criticism just asking the question.... can't the Xmod do all that this board can do for the most part?

P.S. I am an electrical engineer and can design PCB's / SCH's if you need anything just ask.

it does and doesnt. for the most part this board setup will allow for much more control of firing and give the user way more options.

and as for your offer, thanks for the offer but I already have those needs covered. I already have it designed and produced. All done by myself.

Sorry for the delay on updates on pictures and status. i have been very swamped with college this past two weeks (due to next week being finals). But i will be having the board sent out for final inspection by P8nt tomorrow morning.

Chris answered some of the questions in short,.. I will elaborate some since hes busy with school and finals.

I HATE to compare XMOD to something else,.. cause its not fair to Pauls hard work. So take this as a "friendly comparison to help you understand they are NOT the same thing".

XMOD works with the OEM board,.. so that RIGHT THERE is a huge plus.
XMOD enables the stock board better control of the ACE board and eye components.
XMOD enables the stock board to have some firing modes not used with AGD software
XMOD is simple to use, has been tested and proven to work by just about anyone with an AGD E/X-Mag.

The new daugther board does all the stuff that the stock board can not do. Let me re-type that so you can see the difference.

"The new daugther board does all the stuff that the STOCK BOARD can not do."

XMOD is software. The new board is HARDWARE. Which is 2 completely differnt things really.

If you have a working stock board and you have XMOD,... then your all set.

This new board is for the time when the stock board no longer works, or you want to save the stock board for re-sale value, or you want to try something new.

If you really want overall "it does this over a STOCK BOARD with XMOD" comparison,.... see below.

The new board uses the 2 buttons found on your AGD E/X-Mag in the rear of the frame to power the marker on and off as well as work with your eye system. (if installed)

The new boards micro chip is upgradable, flashable, and replacable.

The new board supports break beam/bounce beam eye systems.

The new boards component ports follow the standard ports found on other aftermarket board manufacturers products.

The new board can be removed without removing the rail, trigger frame, and body.

                  ect, ect, ect,...........

I just want to make it CLEAR that this board doesnt replace XMOD,....... it replaces the stock AGD board. This comparison would be better suited by asking yourself to answer the following question:

"Why did you replace the stock AGD software with XMOD?"

This sounds a great new addition to the E/X Mag family.

                      What is the expected cost?

No cost as of now to speak of. I have the cost on my end because I purchased the ports for the board and a few other things on my end.

Chris bought the PCBs and has some cost on his end as well.

We have not ventured into the idea yet to bundle the solenoids with the boards,... Chris is working on his finals as am I. When we get some time to work the details out and visit the total cost number we will let everyone know.

Describe the millenium mode of fire to me and I will tell you (IE: what happens to the marker when you fire it and in what sequence)
