AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Man I really like that stacked tube Viking.
What made you ditch that project ?
If you had them in hand completed I know they would sell.
Those crazy AKA'ers will take a plain jane Viking, send it to DC for milling,
and then out for anodizing and back to DC for reassembly, and end up spending $1600.00 or more before they get it completed. They keep DC backed up with work too.
Man what that Valkyrie could have been !
I know used Cyborgs and Egos are cheap now but they dont hold a candle to an AKA marker.
Wish I had the money to buy a completed one.
I wonder if DC would mill and build one ?

I'm not "ditching" the project, I need money.
There has been zero (as in none, zip, nada) work at the real job for nearly two months now, and I've got to keep the bank at bay somehow.
It's as simple as that.
If I can sell my land and lower my liabilities, I won't be selling the Sterling at all.
Of the two, I like the Sterling more, and it isn't sold yet.
Besides, I built them once, I can build them again if I so desire.
But, once you've been up a mountain once, the adventure isn't as great the second time around.
I have other projects I've been wanting to build though, so it's not the end of the world.
Okay, just a question from an AKA newb... what makes your valkyrie different from a viking or an excal? I can see that it is significantly smaller. I was just wondering if there is any performance difference.
Good luck with your sale. If these are ever available in the future and I have the money for one I would definitely be interested.

As Kevin said, it's a two tube marker, instead of a three tube, which makes it significantly smaller in both profile and weight.
That was the point of the exercise. I don't think it is possible to make a better shooting or performing marker than a Viking. What I wanted to do what make a marker that performed exactly like a Viking, but which was smaller and lighter than a Viking.
The Valkyrie is what I came up with to accomplish this.
I think it went very well, even if I do have to say so myself.
God that Sterling is amazingly sexy. Once the economy is looking up I say we get a pre order batch of those pump handles going. That would look great on my phantom.
Those Evil M bodies intrigue me. Once I get some money in I'll take one
