      huh.

So how long is the rail? AM/MM length or RT/Emag length? or something in between?

If you dont need the spacer what will cover the top of the emag battery pack if using emag lowers? (emag lowers will be longer than the body/rail)

from the pic it appears the front is only as long as the barrel threads (am/mm length) and the rear is shorter (possibly not long enough for the z-pin, or just barely)

Def throwin down for one of these. They look incredible! Can't decide what type of application I'm gonna put mine towards (emag, pneu, or mech), or whether to go raw or whatever. I wonder how hard it would be to get a frame and other components matched to it considering they are gonna be different grades of metal.

I'd love it if gloss black was available. Would def make things easy on many of us. Wonder how tough it'd be to render the body with several of the more popular frames attached so we can get a better picture for an end result to our builds. Atm I have a RPG Chimera frame... but I don't think it's gonna be the best frame for this body. Still so happy to see the breech design. I was thikning just teh other day about how I'd like to make another Qmag or warp setup but have it be alluminum/cocker threads.

Major props and thanks to PTP and co. I'll be giving you guys a call tomorrow to make my deposit

Perhaps the bottom of the module is radiused to accommodate those who wanted to be able to run the module at 45* angles since the "star" at the front of the module has 8 lobes (360*/8=45*), but ran at warp left or warp right, the rounded bottom will now be at a side position and the sides of the body are flat, not rounded.
I think this is what you mean, allowing for the various angles the breech could acheive.

Top of breech, looking from back to front.

Yeah, yeah, I know, but I think you get the point. I think this would "flow" better with the rest of the body, rather than have a curved portion where the rest of the gun is more square.

                Priceless post right there.

Holy Guacamole this thread aint even twenty four hours old and is already at EPIC level. and no edit to the first post at his time. Read it again. Then again WHEN has any other company let YOU design what you want and try so hard to give it to you.

PTPs attitude is what its all about. TRY and give you what you want. to PTP.

So much for the time frame..................

you have no idea, ive been in on this since sept. '07 and back then we thought we might have the bodies or at least the design by that christmas. but ptp kept us informed and had to take care of other stuff first.

russel/forest - whats the possibility of an asa along these lines?

The main reason i upgraded the body design to 7075 material is so there wouldnt be a need
for the steel washer insert .

7075 is so hard , there will never be any rolling of metal like you get with 6061 .

The Z slot has been replaced with the straight slot like the brits have been using for some time now .

The bodies will be released as rendered , leaving room for body cuts buy the buyer for their own personal touch .

Engus ,, i will render that asa tomorrow and see what it looks like .

secretweaponevan : Ive tried so many different shapes for the breach that just didnt work out so instead i decided to break up the side of the gun with that radiused feed block .

Squares and hex's didnt ever line up with any aspect of the gun body .

It lines up one way but looks stupid another way .

Im going to try and counter bore the ball detent as deep as possable , hopefully eleminating the need for a lefty block .

That way i can get the full 90L to 90R swing .

sweet, a hex shaped one might look good too. but both would be more machine time, so i can see the reasoning for a round asa.

I was also wondering if the gap under the breech is necessary, especially if theres gonna be a lefty breech for the ones that want it.

sounds good, should we expect to see the prototypes in a week or so?

p.s.-i edited my above post a little when you were replying
