Where are we at on the gloss black bodies?

I havent received anything yet.

So I was unaware of the valve-not-fitting-in-the-body issue until this week, when I discovered, much to my dismay, that my freshly-polished classic valve is too wide for my brand new and freshly-anodized Micromag body.

The valve is coming in at a 1.125" OD to the body's 1" ID.

Sigh. Guess I'll be selling one or the other.

your sure your measuring the section of the valve that fits into the body?
the back of the valve and regulator are 1.125" the forward section and bolt are 1.000".
If the body is 1.000" ID then it is the correct size.
can you get us some pics of this valve/body and the misfit situation?

I was under the impression that all had shipped. I'm pretty sure I've seen user pictures of gloss black builds.

OKay,.. well I checked the list for the order of payments.

Based on the list and the pictures of the guys who have gloss black guns already,.. looks like I was skipped.

Tracy,... I have not received my bodies and parts. When can I expect them?

Sorry if I wasn't clear... The back section of my valve is 1.125" (after polishing). The bore of the body is .995 or so, and the "stepped out" back section of the body where the wide part of the valve must fit is just a bit over 1". I can't get my calipers all the way in there at that angle, but it appears to be in the 1.07-1.08" range. I'm sure I could hammer in my valve if I really wanted to, but that is not an acceptable solution to me. So far, I'm really disappointed with this product; I expected better from PTP. I have another valve on the way... If it doesn't fit, I'll be selling this body and not looking back. Recommending consumers to hammer in their valves to make them fit... Really? What has happened to quality standards?

When we initially built the bodies and rrfireblade teched the bodies we had problems if that dimension was too large. There should be no problem whatsoever with newer valves and we honestly didn't take into consideration that some of the older valves were larger. Not sure what we can do.

Russell has been pushing to get them done. I haven't forgotten about anyone. My computer whet through a meltdown and I am still trying to retrieve info. Not my intention to ignore anyone. And I am so ready to put this baby to bed!!

Bump...was told this was getting shipped over 2 months ago. I'm not getting anything anodized so what's the deal?
