A bunch of triggers are done with more on the way and the frames are in the going now. For anyone interested in such things there was a glitch somewhere that we could not work out and had to change the front radius some. It will make it slightly rounder. The machine would literally stop at the same point. It is all better now, but this is the change I had to make.Originally posted by elgalloblancoAny updates? No big hurry, just curious.

Just to make everyone aware, there are a lot of these that were ordered so please be patient. It is going to physically take a bit to get these made.Comment

That's a random glitch, especially since the machine did an entire batch of Emancipators with the old specs! I wonder what could have caused it?
Anywho thanks for the update Magnus, it's always good to hear about a project even if there isn't much to say.Comment

It worked perfect for the prototypes, but would stop dead for each one everytime it hit that part.Originally posted by WrathbringerThat's a random glitch, especially since the machine did an entire batch of Emancipators with the old specs! I wonder what could have caused it?

Here are some pictures for you folks this week. We have been very busy with these trying to get them done as quickly as possible.
Here is a picture of the stock that is cut for both the standard frames and some other projects. 89% of this stock will end up as scrap.

Next I face 1 side to clean then flip it over, face the other side and bring it to size. The holes for mounting it to the fixture are drilled next, then the screw holes, trigger pivot, and the safety holes are drilled and reamed. The are used later to locate the blanks on the fixture. This picture shows the finished operation.

After all the plates are machined like this they are bolted on a fixture and the out shape is cut along with the trigger guard. They look like this:

After the 1st tool:

After all the tools:

Here is what the fixture looks like with no plate:

After 5 operations:
