    APX Paint and Gear

Well, I am the new APX rep for the greater Houston area as well as my old stomping grounds here online.

Please pardon the mess and check back for updates as I get this page up and running.

APX is a new paint and gear manufacturer based out of California. We are looking to provide players with quality paint and gear without the big name brand adders.

    Paint:
We offer three levels of paint:

    Agro Field
Single box Shipped: MSRP: $38.95, Your price: $34

    Agro Pro
Single box Shipped: MSRP: $44.95, Your price: $40
    Three Pack Shipped: $110

    Fyre Comp
Single box Shipped: MSRP: $49.95, Your Price: $42
    Three Pack Shipped: $120

If you are interested, we are also able to offer sampler cases including each type of paint with one duplicate bag (random).

    Samplers are $40 shipped.

Edit 2/12/10 (I accidentally had the pictures for Argo and Fyre swapped, sorry)

We bought x20 cases of APX high grade "FYRE" paintballs and used them all up on Jan 30th. I would like to see what you all though of the paint. My impressions. Drop tests- paint usually broke @ 6 feet on pavement. BRIGHT thick orange fill. the breaks were not along the seams of the shell (which is good).

    Usage
I purchased x5 cases of this stuff and shot it using both an 04 Excalibur and a 2003 Toxic Matrix (used a Prophecy the whole day). Chronod at 280fps. I started using a .685 barrel and found that I was breaking a ball every 20-30 shots. Moved up to a .689 and solved that problem. Makes me think that the shell is very brittle. The paint shot pretty straight and I don't recall many bounces unless it was off soft padding from a glancing shot. No paint broke in my bods or the hopper and the only breaks that I had I think were due to underboring the paint. Overall I think Dynastyball was better in terms of ULTIMATE AWESOME COST IS NO OBJECT RAAAAWWWWR! BUT! at $70 a case vs the $$$ SHIPPED AND PAYPALED AND TAXED I paid for this stuff I will buy it again no questions.

    Final Verdict
Until / unless APX drops the quality on this stuff, I'm going to push for us buying a bulk order like this again for the next Z-Day. The paint is VERY cheap for the quality you get and on a 1-10 (I consider Dynastyball a 9/10) I would call this a solid 8/10 and by FAR the best value per ball.

    Soft goods (2009):

Will update when the 2011 gear comes out

    Feel free to post questions.

We do offer team sponsorships and special field rates.

PM me for placing orders, or order specific questions.

After reading through a bunch of questions and reviews over on MCB, I ordered some from Havokrooster and my brother and I went through a couple of cases of Fyre up at Davis (California) at new years. This paint is excellent, and for as much as you would pay for a case of MonsterBall or something, you are getting a top quality ball. Many people compare it to Marbelizers (though I can't since I haven't shot Marbs in over 12 years). All of the balls I checked were round and the seams were very nice. The fill is great, bright orange, nice and thick. The balls break when you want them to and go where you want them to. This is now my Go-To paint. Can't be beat for the price and quality.

I'm glad to see a rep here on AO. Good luck.

You can buy paint direct from the website if you want to try it out. The most expensive paint on there is $45 shipped, and if you email and ask, you can get bulk deals. I've tried the Fyre, and I agree with Xero. The paint is fantastic for the price.

Hopefully vf-xx will be able to offer the paint for even cheaper.

That would be the point. It is hard to sell when your parent company undercuts you

I will check. I've seen them listed as DIGICAM, but I don't personally know the difference.

                Edit: Digi MARPAT confirmed.

Jarhead, They're working on some MARPAT print jersey's. I've seen a sample picture, but from what I'm told the colors aren't quite the same because the military won't release that pattern for re-production.

                        That can be arranged.

Thank you for pointing that out, I need to make the initial post more clear. PM me for order/payment details.

The pattern was patented by the Marine Corps, even though we got it from the Canadians??????
The Army was pretty butt hurt about it when they wanted the same thing and we told them no. Then they came up with the ugly sh*t they wear now! I think its funny.
Anyways I'll pm you later about pants and you can't beat a jersey for $15 so I might as well take one of those too!

For those of you who ordered from me and items were supposed to ship last week:

Fed-Ex managed to misplace those packages. They will be re-sent expedited / overnight. You should receive your items by Wednesday.

If the original shipment becomes un-lost and shows up on your doorstep, consider it our gift to you in apologies for the delay. We should not have these sort of problems, you should not have to deal with them, and we endeavor to provide prompt shipments of quality products.

I hope this is ok. I took some pictures of the Thrasher Pants I received. I want to post them here so that people can see them at various angles and details.
