it is more of a glossy darker finish.

We can use either one....but i like this one better.

The other finish is sanded down....it is smoother but dull in comparison.

1000 grit sand paper will do the trick

1000 would work just fine to take the gloss down. Wet sand it if you are concerned about any scratches. I've seen folk dull down stiffies the same way.

yes, that is not a problem, but just so you understand that they also need to be polished...these would be sold as Raw.
