I state the pack is designed only FOR A HALO and that two of the best high-end Nimh 9v batteries will work, but last half as long and cost the same price
Right, and then since I thought it would also fit in a warp, when you said

two high end NiMh 9v batteries will do the same thing
I was like, huh. No big deal man. I'm just not familiar with halos (far too heavy) so I thought there was no way the battery compartment in a halo could be bigger than that of a warp. And since I thought it MUST fit, it must be a current draw issue etc. which is why i asked

You say this will not work in a warp, yet it appears it will fit and it's 9.6v. Can it not handle the current draw?
Which you responded to by implicitly affirming that It WILL fit and CAN'T handle the current draw (by not addressing those issues), and saying that designing a warp pack is pointless because two nine volts were just as good as the dueydog pack.

Move along now everybody, the text based drama is now resolved. Buy these things, if I ran a halo I would for sure. It still astounds me how few paintballers use rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable is the way, the truth and the light.

    and, uh....bump.

      Hey Matt,

Thanks for getting mine to me so fast. I ordered 6 for my team and we all love them so far. They are indeed faster, smaller, lighter and over time will be sooooooo much chreaper than regular batteries. I turned my V board down from 5 to 4 and it's still faster than it was when set on 5 with regular batteries.

I cant imagine why anyone who uses a halo, and is aware of this pack would not get one. Why pay more for batteries that don't work as well. It borders on insanity.

Thanks again Matt. I e-mailed you my feedback thread.

How much longer before the new charger is released. I saw a quite a few nice chargers while I was cruising around through Akihabara last weekend.

Possibly in a month or two, but I will not release them until all of the current kits are gone. There are a lot of nice chargers out there, but they are not for 9.6v packs and they are usually more expensive. The current charger works great for both the Halo pack and the Marker 9v, so there really is no hurry for a different one.
            Thanks,
            Matt

I have a pretty decent charger that I use on AA's, it has trickle charge on, which I really like. Is this something I can use on your pack? Sorry if that's a dumb question, I just like this charger. I can plug it in and leave it. Also, is the 9 volt you have just a standard one? I mean vs how your pack is better than AA's.
              Thanks!

I'd like to know about this too because I've not had very good luck with the battey pack/charger package so far.

Trickle chargers are better for capacity, but take around 14 hours and most people do not want to wait that long. What is the ouptut of it and is it adjustable or designed only for the AAs? The current charger is 10v 200mah for 5-6 hours.
                  Thanks,
                  Matt

That's a good point. It's not much of an issue for me, but I can see where it would be important. Here's a link to the charger I have: http://www.imaging-resource.com/ACCS/C204W/C204WA.HTM

Again, I don't know a lot about it, but if it'll work with your pack, that would be great as I tend to plug it in and forget about it...literally.

Also, on the 9 volt you have. How's that rate against others?

The 204W delivers current to the batteries in two-amp (2000 mA) pulses for AA cells, 700 mA pulses for AAA ones, alternating pulses between the two pairs of batteries.

Looks like a great charger, but only for single 1.5v AAs or AAAs. The Bone pack is 9.6v and requires a heavier duty charger.

The 9-volt is a high-end 200mah 9.6v just like the Bone pack. Most other 9-volts are only 7.2v-8.4v and only 160mah.

                      Thanks,
                      Matt

What would be the cost to post the Bone pack + charger and 2x marker 9v batteries?
