Tunaman has a pretty sick Trigger... the "TunaBlade". If you ask nice, I'm sure he'll give you a discount on a bulk order.

Just a small manual mill for paintball applications. Belt/pulley drive. Servo motor bolt-on ready. More or less a Sieg X2 branded under the Harbor Freight name. The X3 geared head models were only $1000 and did offer a full 1HP as well as twice the weight, but for $450 I think the X2 is a better value with 4/5 horsies - which is fine for paintball parts.

Cheap Japanese crap... the American way!
If I have to assemble this out of the crate, I'll be pissed beyond belief.

Having only used a real shop's machines (with fully stocked clamps/vices/collets/etc) I'm not sure where to find what I need at this point and what's essential. I will need a smaller machine vice, preferable a 360* rotating clamp, and have been trolling ebay... but none seem to fit the table well. I realize any decent machinist should make his own tools, but it might hard to make a vice considering I need one.

Also, is that R8/JT33 Jacobs Chuck suitable for milling? I was under the impression Jacobs Chucks were primarily for drilling and direct loads, not side loads.
I really don't want to buy a set of collets.

I do have a 3" crosslide vice on my drill press, but that seems like it would ruin my precision.

You wont be happy with that mill. Don't waste your money. 4/5 hp is just not enough. Check out the 2 hp mill/drill. 600 lbs. I paid 995 from Grizzly. They have everything you need.

They must've went up in price... but that sure is a helluva lotta machine. 620lbs and 28" table will not fit well in a dorm room and is way bigger than I need (for now). Plus I don't have $1300 to spend on a mini mill.

The mini mill says it will make 1/2" passes... which seems good enough for small parts and tinkering. I'm not ready for something bigger yet.

I wonder what the Don or RA will think of you moving a mill into your Dorm room. LOL best of luck Magger

Last year I got in trouble for dremmels/drills/paintball stuff all over. I wonder what they say during random sweeps this year?

Also, upperclassmen at CWRU have no RA's. Upperclass residence consists of "Apartment Suites" with 5 of our own (full size) bedrooms, Full living room, Full kitchen (fridge/stove/dishwasher/bar), 2 bathrooms, 2 walk in closets, and A/C.
Sure, food & housing is $7000 a year... but it's oh so nice.
