Looking for the plastic window that was glued to the inside of the grip frame clamshell.

On mine there was no window, it was part of the grips. (That yellowed and I couldnt see through and subsequently removed) -
I figured that was the case when I first got it (keeping in mind it's been YEARS since I had one). But I dropped a Virtue LED board in (got it 50% off) and there's nothing to keep the paint from getting in. And I know lots of people would take the grips off and run them bare - so there HAD to be something in there to keep paint from getting in. If you open the clamshell grip and look on the underside, you see a section where there SHOULD be a little window glued in there.
As it turns out, Bob Long's shop had some on hand. $6 later, and I'm all set.Comment
