AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
all the tuna blades I have do not have bearings.
from the data collected in the past bearings don't make a noticeable difference in performance.
and when they seize up.... eesh
The bearing really makes no difference other than adding a level of complexity that is not needed, and to give it the appearance of being a high-end product.
If the bearings are seizing up you may want to some oil once in awhile. I doubt Tuna used sealed bearings so I would remove the trigger and lay it on it's side and put a few drops of oil on the bearing face, let it sit, the oil should work its way into the bearing.
You get the same amount of play out of the one with the bearing versus not. As long as the fit to the pin is tight all is good. I have never seen one wear out yet. Most people will beat the trigger pin in wrecking the bearing anyway...
