i was sitting around fiddiling with my gun and thought, what if there was a wy to intelliframe the gun without having the cord going from the frame to the hopper, or fram to the warp. i was wondering how much more "advanced" the wiring would have to be and how much extra work there would have to go into it to make this happen. does anyone have any suggestions. essentially you would have a wireless intelliframe.
Tom, or anyone, is this possible...?

i was thinkig about someting like that, but i was also thinking about how much more space woult it take up on the gun, would someone have to cut the hopper and connect a box to it to hold all of the electronics.Comment

It would be alot more money, But does the intelli feed take up too much room or somthing?Comment

I highly doubt it would be a lot more money. All you'd really need would be a IR Transmitter and IR Receiver, which you should be able to get both at Radioshack for a few bucks. Hook up the IR Transmitter to the marker, and the Receiver to the hopper. Only problem you should really have is the range of the Transmitter, which I know is short, but I'm not sure how short.O-Ring Kits FS: Matrix/DM4 / Freestyle / Intimidator / Shocker SFT & More!

with the ir transmitter is there a way that you can make the signal further, and adjust the sensitivity of the sensor.Comment

I believe you'd have to get another transmitter that would support farther distances. Keep in mind however, I'm not sure how far the ones you can get from Radioshack to go.O-Ring Kits FS: Matrix/DM4 / Freestyle / Intimidator / Shocker SFT & More!

IR is probably not a good solution as it would be sporadic in daylight. RF/Blutooth is a better solution. Of course I have no idea how to implement that.Comment

Nope, Bluetooth is not a very consistant signal IMHO. I tried to set that up on my computer and the bluetooth device would only barely detect a signal. I exchanged it and the new one wouldnt detect a signal at all. It had nothing to do with my pc....its brand new and almost top of the line. I would never use bluetooth for anything. Even though the idea is a good one it doesnt always function properly, even when the sensor and reciever are held within inches of one another. I also noticed that if left idle for a minute or two, and then you moved the sensor (mouse), The signal would pulse, and the cusor on screen would jump erratically for an instant before moving like a normal mouse cursor. Now how well would that function if implemented with a hopper? Wouldnt you need some kind of software added to the hopper anyway?-Brandon

im back...ive been out of here for a while, ive looked over allt eh ideas and i think there all good. now its just a matter of getting the parts and trying it...the only thing that im concerned abot is the hopper..i dont want to have to go throught 4 motors and boards before i get it correct, because i dont have the money for 4 boards and things liek that...ill definitleytry some of those idead in the very near future.Comment
