The recharge time is dependent on the input pressure to the gun. If you compare the different input pressure graphs you will see the difference.

All you need to do to reduce charge time is crank the pressure. We actually don't know what the system tops out at.

    There is your 4000th post.

Were these recharge rates done with the level 10 bolt or the old level 7 bolt?

Tom is there anyway that you would post the recharge rates of the Classic and Stabilizer. I want to see the difference between the three (RT, Classic, Stab) because many people have been telling me to gut my Stab because it is a third regulator and will FOR SURE starve my gun. The Palmer Pursuits shop on the other hand told me that both the regs (Classic and Stab) recharge and flow in about the exact same amounts and that in order to prevent possible starvation to gut the AIR because theirs has a "finer resolution".

You didn't save the chart from my stab? I can bring it back in if you want ;-) Though keep in mind that my stab is the prevoius genreation stab, appearantly glen and company opened it up a bit and it flows even better.

So Tom could you post the classic because I'm having a big argument over here in Montana about gutting the AIR and stuff like that.

Oh, yes! The graphs are very impressive and the RT looks really sweet especially when in rapid fire and compared to the popular tournament guns.

                          Redkey,

No filtering, we just moved the system and this is showing up now. Until we need it for a project we are not likely to look at it.

Multiple shots look identical, all the data shown is representitive.

All shots done on HPA from our in house regulated supply.

The flat spot in the bottom of the 600 graph is just me holding the tigger a hair longer. No reactivity means you don't get timing help from the trigger. This evidence that the reactivity helps you shoot faster.

The recharge is higher because of the delay we built into the regulator recovery by design. It is what makes this reg so special. The pressure drops off from cooling. The recharge is so fast we have measured temps of 180 deg. in the chamber. Thats why it gets hot after multiple shots.

Yes the velocity varies with pressure. The RT valve "shoots UP" the faster you shoot. Again, this was one of the primary design considerations, trying to eliminate "shoot down". This is adjustable by input pressure alone.

The retro graphs show dump chamber pressure, the tourney gun graphs show just above the vert reg pressure. Presumably the chamber pressure swings farther and lags.

                          Mag.

I will look but I dont think I have a classic valve with a port. I can tell you that it will look a lot like the other vert regs. Its also a fact that the farther your reg is from the air chamber its trying to fill the longer it will take due to pressure drop through the line.

At about 800 psi input the shoot up is about 10 fps. Since you usually shoot fairly consistently at high speeds you don't see the difference. Its hard to see 10 fps anyway.

I'm wondering if the popular tournament gun is an Angel, and the dropoff we are seeing from the inline is the WDP minireg?
