    Tap sizes

I wasn't sure if this was a topic for Deep Blue, but I need to know some common tap sizes in the paintball industry. If anyone knows any, or a good place to find them, it would be greatly appreciated. For the moment, I just need the tap size for the ASA's and constant air adapter. I thought that it was a 1/2npt, but that doesn't seem to work. Thanks for your help.

    Thread Gauges

There are little tools that look like pocket knives and contain little flip out gauger things. They have little teeth to fit into or onto threads to meausure the threads. They are usually marked in tap or dye sizes. Don't know where you might find these big enough for those ASA things. I have one but it contains very small sizes, as does my Tap and Die set. Try getting a set that will contain the size on e-bay. And try to measure the threads on screw-in's for me if you ever get those gaugers!

I want to be a cowboy.

If you haven't been to HaveBlue's paintball tech ratsnest, you'll want to head over and check it out. lots of good stuff

You'll note if you look under the ASA page that you need a straight 1/2 nps tap, rather than a tapered 1/2 npt
