    Thats a good question.
I don't know, but I've run down to 5 degrees without any problems. I was able to rapid fire all I wanted since the tank never chills, and the FPS was pretty much the same place it was in warm weather, so no need to mess with velocity. (and this was with no reg or EC or remote or anything).

However, don't break a ball at 5 degrees. Paint WILL freeze, and creates a nightmare of a mess!

What paint were you using? I played one day at CPX at about 5 to 10 degrees and none of the paint froze. The event was FPO and the paint was thick. paintballs will shrivel a little in cold weather and reduce accuracy. I also broke 3 VLbows that day because the plastic got all brittle. I fell sorry for anyone playing in weather that cold with plastic parts.

This paint was Cal-Mag, which had a reputation for being very bad paint.

But, paintballs all have different freezing points, depending on the amount of glycerin and iodine in the mix.
Most paints should work well down to 0 degrees or maybe even more?

A very old gun. Semi-auto. Ran on liquid CO2

Unfortunately, that also shot it's efficiency to hell. Something like 200 shots off of a 20 oz tank.
Heard of it? It's one of my all-time favourite guns! Not in terms of performance, but in terms of feedback and excitement it was great. A big lump of metal that jumped around in my hands... great fun. After a long burst you had to wait for the CO2 to clear from the air :)

I do take issue with your efficiency statement though. No, it wasn't the most efficient gun in the world, but I was one of the first in our team to obtain a 200 shot Viewloader. I remember that once the hopper was dry I needed to think about changing my 7oz bottle, so 200 shots from a 7oz was definitely possible. I only had a 20Oz for a short time before I sold the gun but if memory serves, I could get 600-800 shots from it.
