Double Trigger on a real gun?

This may not pertain to paintball that much but what about a double trigger on a real gun?

a double triger on a real gun work a little different, it works by you pulling 1 triggr to prep gun and second to fire. as for a paintball style double trigger ive havent seen or hers of one on a live fire arm

there is also a safety double trigger where there is a "pre trigger" and the actual firing trigger, this helps prevent accidental firings, im sorry if i confused you, but its either on smith and wessons or glocks, not sure, someone who knows something could explain i better

Double triggers are used on paintball guns to make the marker easier to fire. They provide more leverage and the ability to have more than one finger provide the pull. The users of painball guns want a trigger device that will allow them to get as many balls out the end of the barrel as is humanly possible in the shortest amount of time with the least effort.

A real gun may benefit from the increased leverage, thus reducing the pull force. This could allow for a better, more controlled shot.

A bad side effect of this is that with a double trigger, you have more area of trigger that can be acidentally hit causing the gun to fire. This is not as much of an issue with a paintball gun with the barrel protection devices and the fact that most paintballs aren't as damaging as real bullets. With a real gun any accidental misfire is very bad.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

With a real gun you aren't trying to spray bullets in semi-auto. You'd get a full auto if you needed that.

There's another very important prinicple with real firearms. You want to be ABSOLUTELY sure you want to shoot what you're aiming at.

A collegue has a target rifle that has a pull of an ounce or so. So when unintentional death isn't an issue, single triggers are still fine.

Another thing to note: try walking a trigger or cradling the gun with a pansy light grip with something that has real recoil and still hit your target.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. In fact I'm glad that's the case.

Well sucks to be you I happen to like machine guns ya know

I guess one could adapt the bolt priciple behind the electronic remington rifle (I sware, it even works on a 9v, it's a bolt action though but it shoots like mad!) to a semi-auto like a chinese SKS or something like that well then you only have to add the double trigger!

But then again I'm not a gunsmith
bla bla bla, does anyone read this anyway ?

I've seen it done on a ruger, so it isn't unheard of. it is also unsafe, IMO.

It's simply not needed,a good trigger job can drop the weight of the pull to that near an electro Pball gun, besides that, you sure don't have any need to walk a real firearm.
