Idea about accuracy in paintball flight

I know Mr. Kaye has done extensive research, experimentation, and observations on the improvement of paintballs and their flight pattern, but I got an idea. I'm not sure if it has been done before or not but here it goes:
Instead of filling the paintballs with paint, which will cause momentum, turbulence, etc. is it possible to fill them with a colored powder that would leave residue to signify a break. If you pack it in tight, the powder would not have a different momentum as the shell, therefore resulting in increased accuracy. I know Mr. Kaye has claimed there is nothing more to be done about paintball trejectory, but I got this idea, and i think it might work. I hope this is Deep Blue worthy, and if not, that's cool too. Just an idea I had.

Em... it's mostly the poor aerodynamic properties of a sphere. It needs more weight or different shape to help it out.

A fin-stabalized projectile, eh? Did you come up with that Tom?

He produces them. I'd say that he came up with it too.

At one point Tom was trying to get the SSRs (spin stabilized rounds) allowed/sanctioned. It didn't fly. I think the weight of the projectile had something to do with it.
