Fitting in shouldn't be that much of an issue - IMO - looks like there is a little room to work with, but will require some milling.

          X-Mag

          E-Tac

I just loaded XMOD last night and I'll volunteer mine up to be milled and to test it - even though it's less then a month old

Well you are compareing the inside of a ule frame with the inside of your rail probably because of BigEvil's post earlier I'm guessing.

Just for folks to know in general, the current ACE board will not fit in the rail for a couple reasons. The on/off switch box sits on top of the board so I'm pretty sure that puts it too high. That means it will hit the body. The Ace sensitivity adjustment box is under the board. Also the eye would be sitting way too high, in the way of the bolt.

To get a board to fit in an emag most of the milling done to the rail is to accommodate the on/off switch. A bit of milling for the Ace board and in the ule frame is also required and then the hole milled in the body for the eye.

I think having it in the rail would be a cool idea for Emaggers but may require a different on/off switch than the current one on the ACE board and a different eye(which I know Dive planned anyway). Personally I like having the ACE board in the frame, it makes for a convenient marker break down. Don't have to deal with any wires.

I wonder if it would eventually be possible to adjust the eye sensitivity through Lornes XMod software and do away with the sensitivity adjuster box. Maybe something for Lorne to add to the software. May fit in an EMag rail that way. Probably not the most cost effective, I have no clue. Just thoughts.

Dive, Hope things are progressing. :)

Ace on a emag has been done before. I have a chord emag with ACE on a ULE rail with a xmag frame.. Best way is to get a xmag frame, otherwise thats alot of miling. ULE rail needs to be milled to accept the eye and on/off switch (or wire the on/off button always on and use the yellow plug) And then wire it to the main board correctly. Not a big deal, but not worth the effort IMO. Better off buying an x or SFL at that rate.

Hey didn't a whole bunch of people including myself sign up on some crazy quest to get a new board made by TAGSPORTZ?? Yeah, well I ended up asking for my money back. Better let the designer dish out the money, make a product, then charge everyone. Instead of filling our heads with dreams.

God I feel so guilty about that whole mess I even got refunds on two of the three I pre-ordered. Last I heard they were actually designed and in produciton. That was about a month ago? SO who the hell knows when we will see them - if ever.

A-tac-one, you can probably use the eye-delay as an ACE adjustment. I think thats how the predator boards do it with reflective eyes/

He has the boards. We have to finish our ION board which we debuted at the Tampa NPPL yesterday. Once we refine the operation of the ION board then the ACE board will be next.

He says he dont think there will be a problem at all and we are looking at adding some surprises now.

                    More to come...........

I know this isnt the new board but this is what we have been hard at work on.

A couple more days of tweaking this and we can start on the ACE boards.

To our loyal APE ARMY members...

For those of you that could not make it to Tampa last weekend, I wanted to post a few shots of our new ION board and keypad installed... We're in the home streatch of our development and anticipate our official release in early June.

If you're attending D-Day '06 in Oklahoma, we'll be at the UMS tent, demoing the new ION and A5 markers... stop in for a test drive :!:

Also, a quick little demo video (Quicktime Required)
