That wasn't ROTC. All Israelis are required to spend two years in the service when they turn 18. In Germany only the males are required to spend two years in the service when reaching 18. There are some other european countries that do that but don't know them all.

And its practically a requirement now that any enlisted soldier in our army who isnt a CPL is fat. Its true.

Only exception is for Infantry, but that exception doesnt apply to National Guard or Reserve infantrymen.
