Going to buy my first silencer

I'm headed off to buy my first suppressor today in a few minutes!
A place an hour away is having a 25% sale on an SWR can. I even bought some subsonic ammunition to test it with. Will post back with pics and hopefully vids tonight.

/Yet another reason california would loose in a fight to everybody!
//next 2 items on list of things to get before they're banned again... AR15 M2 and a 5.56x45mm suppressor!

Based on the e-law "Youtube or it didnt happen", I'd have to say no, it wasnt shot.

Which one are you looking at? A guy on my team is looking for one for iraq and isnt too sure which one to get. We also found some that work on the saw but i dont think its worth the extra weight for me

I just want this stuff gone, super low prices

I just bought the SWR Warlock (.22lr) - Quietest, best replacement program (basically free replacement after 20k shots), and I got it 25% off.

I'd assume your talking 5.55 Nato though. Only one choice in that department... AAC M4-2000. All stainless welded constustion, tied for the quietest can on the market, one of the best companies out there, half price replacement when he messes it up, fast attaches to flash supressor. The Gemtech cans are supossedly just as quiet, but a stress test on one basically ruined it after 700 rounds.

the AAC m4-2000 or m4-1000 is what I will be getting in janurary. Cant beat them - and their cheaper than other cans that quiet.

Hey, what is the attachment method for that AAC m4-2000? Will it lock on to a standard M4 flash hider?

it is a fast attach suppressor that uses the AAC flash hider. If the flash hider isn't compatible, AAC and YHM sell a compatible flash hider.

Yeah, looks like the Omni would be the type I'd need to mount on a standard M16/m4 hider. The powers that be don't like modified weapons.

Doubtfull for tonite. You can apply to get one from a class 3 weapons dealer, fill out the BATF form with fingerprints, photos, and a letter from your local law enforcement officer authorizing it, pay a $200 tax and then wait 4-6 weeks for all of this to be processed before you will get a silencer.... unless things have significantly changed recently, that has always been the procedure.

No one stop shopping with something like this.

"Unlike conventional firearms, each change of possession or ownership of a Title 2 weapon (silencer, machine gun, sawed-off shotgun, pengun, etc.) must be approved in advance by BATF. This includes not only the sale of such a weapon, but also the act of giving or loaning it to another person. Failure to comply can result in a $250,000 fine, 10 years in prison, or both. Although the weapon can be moved by its registered owner within the owner's state or residence, transportation across state lines requires prior BATF approval. These requirements were instituted by the National Firearms Act of 1934 and were incorporated into the Gun Control Act of 1968."

Oh, I know. I still got about 1-2 months before I expect any calls. They guy let me shoot it in the back of the shop into some phonebooks - it's quieter than my pb guns.
