AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
maybe. I generally think its best to give both a debian based distro and a red hat based distro a try (as well as anything else, if you want). if you have a problem with one, you may have better luck with another. a few days ago i tried installing ubuntu 7.04 on an ancient computer (150 mhz processor) and ran in to a slight issue. so, I tried installing fedora instead, and that worked fine. sometimes i think ubuntu's user friendliness can get in the way.
anyway, both ubuntu and fedora (as well as a number of distros now) have a livecd and an easy install. there's no harm in giving it a try.
