The newer ones are much more reliable than the previous versions

        Torque Monster/Wheelie Machine!!!!

If you're used to riding an inline 4 or any other Jap bike for that matter, it won't be long before you run into that rev limiter.

Nice bike. Makes me wish I had mine back. Good luck. Keep it on at least 1 wheel.

Is that the normal headlight? Isn't it usually a fairing? I don't know much about buells, but I've never seen that headlight. Looks sweet. I never cared for the fairings. I like the tape on the exhaust too. Looks cool.

Looks like someone put some work into it. Are those aftermarket rearsets? I like the controls too. Bar ends (rizoma?), the grips and the levers. Cool stuff. Now you need some mirrors. I'd stick with the rizoma stuff. They make some awesome mirrors.

Does that bike come standard with the steering damper?

                Gimp--
those are standard headlights... me too, that's why i started w/ the thread when I first saw it.
Then off course, i did my own research and was very happy about the findings.

Heat wraps for the exhaust pipes
Pretty much rizoma's signals and handle grips, levers, & brake lights...
                not sure about the rearseats?
As far as I was told those were standard too.
Brake linings were changes to stainless steel,
ECU changes (don't know for the life of me right now)
                Dual exhaust
                bilateral scoops
lever chages for the brakes & gear lever
there is however one side mirror (small one) on the left hand side.
                Brembo brakes (i think)
steering damper (adjustable)- non a standard part

pretty much everything is already changed (one of the reasons why I decided to get it). I don't have to find the parts for it anymore....

Buell's rock , you can take that sporty powerplant & make it scream , do some history & find out about Eric Buell & his short lived private company , in the beginning Harley wanted nothing to do with his idea , now Harley owns a major porition of it

                    i'd love to own one.

a guy i know has one, he's got a $1000 machining job on his heads.

he's got a valve bending problem.... Of course, he beats the piss out of his bike and has his motor out weekly

Good lookin bike, though I've never been a fan of Buell's I respect the hell outta Eric and what he did with what he had to work with.

Drop me a PM on where in NorCal you are and maybe we'll hook up for a ride...

Congrats on the new ride, and remember... Shiny side up!!!

the best advice i can give is buy a high quality FULL FACE Helmet

and don't be a jackass on that thing...just cause it will go 160 doesn't mean you have to do it.

now if you like go read the thread about punkncat.

Nice Bike!! I have always loved the Buells, I don't ride Jap bikes (I have my reasons).

Where in Nor*Cal are you, I live in Brentwood. Commute to Oakland every day. That bike looks sort of familiar to me. I may have seen it in the freeway..

Here is a pic of my old Buell it's a '99 Lightening with the race kit and PM wheels. Torque monster! I sold it about 2 years ago and am really sorry, I miss it but I still have my H-D, Ducati 996 and my KTM (soon to be Motard) to ride so I am never lonely.......

                          CONGRATS!

                          ......You know you want one!!
