Last night at about 2:00am I was coming home from my friends and thought i would take the winding backroads for a change.. i was going around a blind corner at about 40-45 mph when a stupid good for nothing deer decided he wanted to run out in front of me..i layed it over sideways missing the deer. slid up a gravvel approach where i ended up flipping and flying through ther air. about then i think is when i lost my helmet somehow(glad it was then, helmet is beat to heck) then i ended up into some woody area where i got owned by a few nice branches..i was just gonna go home and take it like a man.. but being 17 my parents made an ambulance come and check..there we discovered a nice gash in my knee and a possibly broken pelvis. the morning when that adrenilan(Sp?) wheres off..it sucks..my bike is messed up as well..ill get pics when i can move a little more.
Well, i finally went down.

Or if it wasnt strapped properly.Originally posted by gimpOuch. Glad your all right.
How did your helmet come off? Did the strap break? I'm pretty sure there is no way my helmet could come off without it either smashing into pieces, or the strap breaking.
My chemistry teacher got in an accident before school started, luckily he only broke an armComment

Sorry to hear of the go down man.... I tossed mine down the road about a month ago... Hit a fender washer in the middle of a curve... the gf and I both ended up in the ditch both with minor scrapes... the bike is pretty jacked up but just waiting on replacement parts....
Heal quickly and next time just hit the deer.... I never swerve to miss anything!!!! Well except other vehicles... but live critters I just continue like I was going and let them do the movin.... I've run over quite a few LARGE critters and never bit it from hittin em... but I know folks who have taken ditches and trees and guardrails to miss a damn rabbit!!!!
Heal quickly though, hope the pelvis isn't broken and get back on it...

Deer... I doubt it was key deer. Last people I recall hitting a deer around here on sports bike were aerolifted out. I mean, if a fender washer can cause you to crunch it, a deer is going to do much more."Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. Its not" - Dr SuessComment

nothing is ever gonna scare me from riding again.
the helmet was strapped..but not tightened enough..my fault(ICON helmets= very safe for the most part..when it stayed on my head anyways.)
pelvis has bone chips out of it.. should heal quickly.
and when i went back out there today to gather some parts we mesaured a 70 foot skid before a large stump stopped me from being impailed by large sharp sticks..the stump broke my pelvis..but atleast im alive.
UPDATE:
bike does run..cleaned the oil from around the pistons.. my new yoshi pipe= done for(
)
and i removed all the plastics/ the tank. im gonna upload pics soon.. my sister took them. and didnt do a very good job.. but oh well.Comment
