I have a solid porcolin bathtub in one of my bathrooms. I love it but it's 100 years old and the glazing has seen better days. So I was looking to see if anyone still makes them more out of curiosity then anything else as they'd cost thousands (they don't). I was reading on the history of these things when I see a picture of my bathroom sink. I read on to find out J.L. Mott is considered to have made the best fixtures and is the most desirable today. So I crawl under my sink and there is the stamp, "J.L. Mott company". So apparently J.L. Mott is the standard for antique plumbing fixtures and the sink I have is the most desirable of all J.L. Mott fixtures. So I search a little further and they're selling for close to $10,000. Afterwards I came to find out my bathtub is worth about five thousand.
Pretty interesting I thought.
