    UFC: Couture Retires.....again.

    Just cought this on yahoo:

UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture stunned the MMA world on Thursday by announcing his retirement.

I hope he'll make a comeback, (M-1? ) for the right fight, but if not, it dosen't matter.

Doing what he's doing at 44, argueably at the top of his game, this guy deserves recoginition as a world class athlete.

    Here's to Captain America

    WAR COUTURE!

Found another article that may shed a little more light:

UFC heavyweight champion Randy "The Natural" Couture walked out on his UFC contract on Thursday.

Hmm, didn't see the fight, But apparently Vera didn't have anything for big Tim.

With Randy retired (for the moment?) the HW division is in a wierd spot. The guy everybody loves to hate could be the favorite to get the belt back....and who is there to beat tim? Kongo? Nog?

Seems the other UFC poster boy Rich Franklin got his butt handed to him again By Silva. Pure luck he got out of round one. I don't see anybody on Silva's level in Middleweight right now...
