    My "New" Rifle!

Just wanted to share some pics of my new rifle... Lee Enfield No.4 Mk2. .303 British, Manufactured May, 1950. Obviously it had a little work done to it, and I've added my own touches as well...there goes the neighborhood.

.303 is a very popular caliber. Expensive as the surplus has dried up and all ammunition is going through the roof.

Not my type of gun but still very nice.

Yeah new, brand name ammo is quite expensive. 20 rds of Remington cost me $28. I just ordered 200 rds. of Partizan for $100 though, so not too bad.

              Sweet!

I've got a BSA MkIV No.1 made in 1947. It was still all goo'd up in the cosmoline when I got it.

Avoid POF (Pakistani) ammo. Cordite propellant, dirty and inconsistant, and VERY corrosive. Greek surplus used to be the shizz, but I don't know what's available these days...have a look at AIM Surplus

Nice pickup... I would have suggested one of the ones rebored in .308 so you have more options and less cost, but none-the-less I like it.. sweet rifle...
