the number one album really shocked me , i though it was gunna be led zepplin for sure , but it wasnt.

Depends on how they were ranked. I like momentary lapse of reason, wish you were here, and most zeppelin better than dark side of the moon, but IIRC dark side of the moon still has the most sales of any rock album to date.

Sounds like an awesome countdown, I wish my local stations would do something like that.

I would think there should have been more than 3 Frank Zappa entries, highest I saw was APOSTROPHE (394)

Pink Floyd - The Wall (15) came out about the same time Zappa put out "Joe's Garage" Both "Concept" albums, you could say.

While "The Wall" was great, "Joe's Garage" was ahead of it's time and, imho, almost in another leauge, conceptually and musically speaking.

Didn't even make the top 500, unless I missed it...

Interesting list tho. I would imagine sales would have been the main factor in the rankings.

eh i agreed with like 10 albums on that list half of it was gay music then and worse gay old music now no some oldguy musta picked all that crap im sure it wasnt done up as a vote anywhere ....... btw im not a youngin i am 30 so i know most of that music the ones i dont know i didnt like the artist to start with ,.....
