For most people, all they know about CA is what they've heard about or seen on TV. If people want to hate CA, let them. It'll keep them away. The population and housing prices are high enough already. The bad press can be a good thing.

i lived in cali, i HATED it. still sucks everyone has to lose their homes though. guess thats what insurance is for

Yeah, we were fortunate our immediate area was safe. Also, a few businesses and a church caught on fire not too far from my place. Also, the first two nights back, I could still see flames burning on the hills from a distance.

The air quality is still pretty bad though. Makes breathing hard.

OK hear. Air quality is bad here too. I have a few coworkers who were on voluntary evacuation. We finally got some cool weather and some light drizzles to help out the fire fighters.
