    Mac help

So I got my mac book pro today, Im still learning it. Luckly I got it through school and they had a mac guy come and give us a 2 hour lesson on setting some shiz up...but theres still alot for me to get used to, Im actually uploading pics on it and posting on my pc,not that it cant handle both...but im "borrowing" internet connection so it's not the quickest.

Anyway my question is how can I get aim on my Mac?Or something similar that I can use my aim buddylist for, like trillian or something.

I attempted to set up ichat, but when I set the field for AIM it just took me to my camera...and it maid it seem that it was a video chat program. I guess you just disable the camera and it will work like regular aim?

I have heard good things about Adium. I'm not a big IM user so I have not tried it.

Hey have you figured out a good app yet? If not you could probably run the gnu version of aim, used to be called gaim but now its called pidgin. You should be able to do it since the os is a unix os with a pretty interface.

no. it's a unix kernel. the rest is based on unix, but not unix.
i dunno about the IM program though. sorry.

                  iChat works for me...

a little different than aim but easy enough to get used to.

Aim- maxamillion2345 if you need any help.
