    without regular maintenance, probably.

but a ford is tough as all hell if you take care of it. ive got a ford that sat for the last 4 years in the same spot. after a oil change and radiator flush it fired right up and works great. cant do that with a honda.

All I can say is we've got:

        A F-700 manure spreader,
        two F-600 ensilage trucks,
        two F-750 gravel trucks,
        a F-700 feedtruck
        a F-600 service truck
        a F-600 grain truck
        a 1969 F-250 4x4 daily driver
        a 1976 F-250 4x4
        a 1977 F-250 4x4
        a 1978 F-150
        a 1984 ranger 4x4
        a 1985 ranger 4x4
        a 1985 F-250 6.9 diesel 4x4
        a 1993 F-150 4x4
        a 1995 F-250 powerstroke 4x4
        a 1996 F-150 4x4
        a 2000 ranger 4x4
        a 2000 F-250 powerstroke 4x4
and now an 01 expedition 4x4

        And I love em all!

The only real problems we've ever had are the F-600 grain truck's engine froze up after sitting for about 8 years, the F-600 service truck was bought with a bad engnine in it (The pistons in it were so sloppy I honestly don't know how it even ran to drive it home from the auction where we bought it!), the 1977 F-250 is undergoing a complete restoration just because I thought i'd be a cool project, the 1984 ranger's clutch is slipping bad from the years and years of cruel abuse we put that thing through! LOL and we bought the 85 ranger with a bad engine just so we could do some part swapping and end up with one good ranger.

Oh and the 93 f-150 sits in the shop undergoing a complete frankenstein re-creation after I got in a wreck with it... I'm hopefully going to get that thing finished this winter!

Plus we've got a few parts pickups sitting around a 72 F-250 4x4 that was wrecked by my sister, a 1975 F--250 that was just parked because we never used it, and a 1976 F-150 that I bought for parts for $160. I'll also be picking up an early 90's F-150 for a parts pickup from one of the neighbors. He was just going to haul it to the steel mill and scrap it, so I'll get it for scrap price!

So yeah hondas probably have their place, it's just not at my place!

This reminds me of Kenny Chesney's song Summertime

"and its two bare feet on the dash board
          Lovin that old ford
cheap shades and a tattoo and a you
a bottle on the floor board"
